Temple of Hercules is a temple located in the Citadel, Amman, built during the reign of Emperor Marcus Aurelius around the year 161 AD. It is said that construction is dedicated to the son of the god Zeus, Hercules.
This temple is much larger than the Roman temples, the building faces east and can be seen from the northeast corner. This temple supported by pillars as high as 33 feet, but there are only a few pillars are still intact, while others have been destroyed no longer intact.
